Burnley on verge of signing £115,000-a-week West Ham ace James Ward-Prowse

Burnley are on the verge of finishing a deal that can see midfielder James Ward-Prowse be a part of the membership from West Ham on mortgage till the tip of the season.

Ward-Prowse, who has 11 caps for England, signed for West Ham in 2023, following Southampton’s relegation. Failing to interrupt into the first-team, he spent a lot of the 2024/25 season on mortgage at Nottingham Forest, being despatched again by then-manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Portuguese, later in 2025, took over West Ham United and Ward-Prowse, who former Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl described as “phenomenal,” was clearly not in his plans. The midfielder has not seen any first-team motion on the London Stadium for a while, with a departure showing more and more possible.

Burnley will hope, little question, that the expertise of Ward-Prowse will assist navigate the membership out of the underside three. Though, there isn’t a purchase possibility for the midfielder, who presently earns £115,000 per week.
