Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been charged with misconduct by the English Soccer Affiliation after allegedly spitting at or within the route of Leeds United supporters final month.
The matter pertains to an incident within the 67th minute of the Clarets’ 2-0 Premier League win over Leeds at Turf Moor on Oct. 18.
Mejbri had been among the many substitutes on the time of the alleged incident. He went on to enter the sport within the 83rd minute and was booked following a conflict with Leeds defender Gabriel Gudmundsson.
An FA assertion added: “Hannibal Mejbri has till Friday 28 November to offer a response.”
