Main League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber’s contract has been prolonged by the league’s Board of Governors via 2027.
The league confirmed the extension on Wednesday forward of this weekend’s MLS Cup closing between the LA Galaxy and the New York Pink Bulls. Monetary phrases weren’t disclosed.
Launched in 1996, MLS was shedding cash and near folding when Garber, an NFL govt, took over in 1999. Since then, MLS has expanded from 12 to 30 groups, together with the addition of San Diego FC subsequent 12 months.
