Spain ahead Jenni Hermoso has mentioned Brazil “do not play soccer” as a confrontation between gamers of each groups erupted following Tuesday’s semifinal.
Brazil shocked the world champions Spain 4-2 and can face the United States within the gold medal showdown in Paris on Saturday.
“We conceded 4 objectives from a crew that, for me, would not play soccer,” a pissed off Hermoso mentioned after the sport.
Whereas Hermoso admitted her crew “didn’t play properly,” she added: “They [Brazil] research us, they know how one can damage us, play off our backs. That is not soccer to me.
“I do not like that type of soccer. Clearly, they win minutes, they make you lose time, and for them, that was value it. They’re within the ultimate, and we’re going for bronze.”
Previous to the encounter, Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí had spoken of her shock at how defensive-minded Brazil had been of their assembly earlier within the match, that Spain gained 2-0.
Brazil star Kerolin was unimpressed by the feedback made by Ballon d’Or winner Bonmatí and mentioned after Tuesday’s recreation: “She [Bonmatí] was a bit sad earlier than the match, saying that Brazil performs badly, holding the sport again lots.
