Sandro Tonali charged by FA with recent betting breaches

The Soccer Affiliation has charged Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali with misconduct for betting breaches.

The Italy worldwide was banned for ten months again in October after he admitted putting bets on former facet AC Milan whereas he performed for the Serie A giants.

A press release from the FA reads: “Sandro Tonali has been charged with misconduct in relation to alleged breaches of The FA’s Betting Guidelines.

“It is alleged that the Newcastle United midfielder breached FA Rule E8 50 occasions by putting bets on soccer matches between 12 August 2023 and 12 October 2023.

“Sandro Tonali has till 5 April 2024 to reply.”

Newcastle’s response reads: “Newcastle United acknowledges a misconduct cost obtained by Sandro Tonali in respect of alleged breaches of FA Betting Guidelines.

“Sandro continues to completely adjust to related investigations and he retains the membership’s full assist.

“As a result of this ongoing course of, Sandro and Newcastle United are unable to supply additional remark at the moment.”
