The summer time switch window got here and went in fairly sluggish vogue for Liverpool.
Whereas the Reds did signal Bradley Barcola to the tune of a whopping £123m, it was a comparatively uneventful market in comparison with a 12 months in the past.
In 2025, Arne Slot noticed the likes of Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike all be part of. This time round, becoming a member of Barcola had been Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo.
Someway, the midfield and full-back areas went untouched. Happily, they want to right that heading into the winter window.
Lamine Camara is one identify on their listing, however there might be a greater choice for Julian Ward.
Why Liverpool wish to signal Lamine Camara
The Camara saga on switch deadline day was a desperately unlucky one so far as the participant is anxious.
All of it revolved round Liverpool’s neighbours, Everton. Monaco wanted to promote and seemed as if that they had agreed a cope with striker Folarin Balogun.
But, within the remaining hours, they pulled the plug on a deal, citing an damage they discovered through the medical. Because of this, Monaco supplied Camara to Chelsea they usually swiftly agreed a deal.
However dangle on, Everton nonetheless needed Balogun. They went again in for the participant, inflicting the Camara transfer to fall via. As soon as the window closed, remarkably neither participant had left the principality.
That may very well be to Liverpool’s acquire. A box-to-box midfielder, Camara can play as an eight or as a six and appears tailored for the rigours of the Premier League.
He is one thing of a sort out monster. This season, the Senegalese sensation has made 5.2 tackles per match for Monaco in Ligue 1. To place that quantity into context, solely three gamers have extra tackles per 90 minutes within the Premier League this time period.

Because of this, with gamers like Wirtz and Barcola of their ranks, maybe an older head is what they require to put the foundations behind them.

With simply 1.5 tackles per 90, he isn’t as aggressive as Camara this season however then in a ball-dominant Madrid aspect he has very restricted defending to do.
That mentioned, when referred to as upon, he is among the greatest duel winners round. This is what the information tells us.
