Watford have unveiled a special-edition package in honour of their most well-known supporter and former chairman, Sir Elton John.
Impressed by the art work for his 2017 “Diamonds” biggest hits album, the shirt includes a faint star motif throughout the entrance, silver Watford crest and Kelme logos, and the membership’s retro Joyful Hornet badge on the hem.
The collar and cuffs carry extra star particulars, whereas the reverse is embossed with lyrics from one among his most iconic songs, “Your Tune”.
The strip – designed in collaboration with Elton himself – will likely be worn when the Hornets host Blackburn Rovers within the Championship.
It marks the start of celebrations for the fiftieth anniversary of the music legend turning into Watford chairman again in 1976, a job during which he oversaw the membership’s exceptional rise from the Fourth Division to the First.
To launch the discharge, present gamers recreated a few of Elton’s most well-known album covers in full package. Defender Kevin Keben channelled “Leap Up!” with a bowler hat, whereas Mattie Pollock paid tribute to “Rock of the Westies”.
Half music, half soccer, all Watford – this one’s a showstopper worthy of the Rocket Man himself.
